Key Points:
- Good Stance (knees over toes)
- Stick is out off of the pads
- Watch the puck all the way in, all the way out
- Take the puck towards the heal of stick
Progression #1
- On the ice blocker side
- Deflect puck to corner
Progression #2
- On the ice glove side
- Deflect puck to corner
Progression #3
- On the ice blocker side
- deflect to corner
- recover to post
Progression #4
- On the ice glove side
- deflect to corner
- recover to post
Progression #5
- Start at elbow of the crease
- T-push to top middle of crease
- deflect puck to corner
- recover to post on side where you deflected the rebound
- Repeat in opposite direction
Progression #6
- Start at top middle of crease
- Deflect puck to corner
- Recover to the post in the direction where the puck was deflected
- Push out to the elbow of the crease
- Shuffle back to top middle of crease (starting position)
- Repeat in opposite direction
