Open Hips Ladder with Pucks
This exercise is the same as the Open Hips without Pucks but it progresses to where players will control pucks while working on this skill. This skating portion of this skill is an advanced skill especially for younger players. Pucks should not be introduced to players that struggle performing it without pucks.
To set up place 5 - 6 stick in a ladder formation as shown in the diagram running side to side.
To see how this translates to game situations view this skill breakdown.
At the end of the ladder players will break into the zone and take a shot

Mohawk Deception
Players skate out of the corner and use an outside edge mohawk turn as a deception deke then continue around the circle and shot.
Breakaway Race
Blue vs Orange - First in line gets a puck from center ice then skates in on a breakaway. Once they shoot, they race back to the line to tag the next player for them to go, and take a knee. First team to all shoot wins.
- A variation is if the player does not score they have to get the puck then pass to the next player in line.
