Tracking the puck quickly is crucial and can catch a defense out of its structure.  This is a perfect example here by Casey Middlestadt as he tracks, strips and transitions immediately to offense.  He has a great deceptive pass as well to set-up his teammate.  Great clip to show your players.

WHAT TO WATCH

  • No hesitation on the quick track by Casey Middlestadt to lift the stick and strip the puck
  • He immediately transitions to offense while the defense is out of position
  • He uses incredible passing deception by looking at the net while finding his teammate (Skinner #53)
