This is a pretty simple half ice drill that is a good one to use as a shooting warm up to start practice or even a pre-game warm up drill. The drill works as follows:
- Player #1 starts by skating backwards along the red line with the puck
- They make a pass back to player #2 once they are about 10 - 15 feet away
- These two players pass the puck back and forth until player #1 is just outside the dots on the far side
- Player #1 escapes with the puck and enters the zone
- Player #2 drives the net
- Player #1 can shoot, shoot for a tip, shoot for a rebound, or make a pass across to player #2
