This is a simple but effective drill that works on quick releases in stride.
Setup
- 2 Lines of players
- 4 Tires set pp in a rectangle in line with the players
- Player accepts a pass from the other line
- Player with puck attacks the first cone
- Player pulls the puck inside the next cone and shoots in stride
Coaching Points
- Attack the first cone with purpose
- Use deception/head fake when deking the first cone
- Shoot while in stride and shifting body weight
