Panthers with Incredible O-Zone Puck Movement and Switches

https://vimeo.com/845000753?share=copy

From Topher Scott:

"If you want to have success in the Ozone, movement is key. Movement of the puck and your players creates confusion, forces switches, and can ultimately free up space for your players to work. This goal from FLA is an absolute work of art."

What to Watch

  • The Florida Panthers use several switches (scissors) to relieve pressure and create space in the O-zone
  • The players are constantly moving and trading spaces while exchanging the puck
  • When they exchange the puck they are delivering it to their teammates on their forehand so they don't handcuff them on their backhand
