Nyquist Picks Up Speed out of Cutback to Create Time & Space

https://vimeo.com/845564761?share=copy

Great clip to show your players the importance of moving your feet after cutbacks.

What to Watch

  • Nyquist has great control (leading with his head and shoulders) on his cutback to deceive the defender
  • He keeps moving his feet with a great first 3 steps to pickup speed coming out of his cutback
  • Notice the separation and time he creates for himself by moving his feet off the cutback.  If he didn't keep his feet moving he would not have the time or space to make the play.
